Tip 1: Stage that House
Your agent will inevitably tell you that you need to de-clutter to make the home presentable for sale. Sparse furnishings make the space look larger. Remove bulky items that aren't essential to making your home look inviting. Don't just tuck the items in the garage; That needs to look spacious also. Use a Packrat storage unit to store the items securely at our facility. And, when you actually move, we'll deliver another storage unit for you to load the essential furnishings into.
Tip 2: Make Lists
This seems like basic advice, but it is one of those things that is too easy to 'shortcut'. What do you need to prepare for your big move and by when? Keep contact info for disconnecting utilities at the old place and connecting at the new place. Don't just label the box "kitchen," but number the box and document the contents. Just a little extra time to be thorough will make a big difference. And, it will help you plan to have your Packrat storage units delivered to your new location in the proper order.
