The Greensboro Four on Feb. 1, 1960
On Feb. 1, 1960, four North Carolina A&T students sat down at the Elm St. Woolworth's lunch counter, ordered coffee and were refused service. David Richmond, Franklin McCain, Ezell Blair Jr. and Joseph McNeil stayed until the store closed at 5 p.m.
