FORT MORGAN, Colo. -- Police say a gunman fired a shot through the drive up window of aMcDonald's, entered the store through the window, robbed the place, then left through the drive-up window.
This happened just before 1 a.m. Thursday at the McDonald's in Fort Morgan in northeastern Colorado. Police say no one was hurt during the robbery.
"Employees were inside the restaurant about 12:53 a.m. when a man armed with a handgun walked up to the drive-up window and fired a shot through the service window," says Fort Morgan Police spokesman John Brennan.
"The man then entered the store through the drive-up window, demanded money and left the store through the window. It is unknown at this time how much money was stolen."
The suspect left on foot, but police believe he got into an older model white and blue Ford Bronco II.
The McDonald's drive-through is open 24 hours, but the main doors to the restaurant were locked when the robbery happened.
