Sweethearts tie the knot on Valentine's Day

DENVER -- Denver residents Darrell Johnson and Margaret Sillemon have been sweethearts for seven years and Tuesday, on Valentine's Day, they tied the knot.

"We originally planned it a couple years ago, but some things have fallen through the cracks and we had put it off," admits Darrell.

They say there's a first for everything, and for Darrell and Margaret, this is the first time either have said "I do."

"I've been nervous since I woke up this morning." says Darrell.

Senior Denver Court Judge Herb "Herbie the Love Judge" Galchinsky presided over Darrell and Margaret's wedding, and many others, at the city of Denver's annual Valentine's Day celebration.

For four years now, the city has turned a room in the Wellington Webb building into a wedding chapel for couples wanting to get married on Valentine's Day

Judge Galchinsky began Darrell and Margaret's ceremony with a warm "It's a pleasure for me to officiate at your ceremony today."

As couple's big moment began, he told them "Repeat after me … with this ring, I take you Margaret to be my wife." Darrell repeats the age old phrase: "With this ring, Margaret, I take you to be my wife."  Margaret then responds, "...and I will love, respect and cherish you always."

And in a blink of an eye, the two became one.

When asked if he felt any different, Darrel said, "Just the ring is different."

Trust us, Darrel, there's going to be a lot of stuff that's different.  Welcome to the club, Mr. And Mrs. Johnson.
